Castro Valley has a LEED Gold certified library with solar panels that make it a “net-zero” energy user. Castro Valley is also undergoing a $34 million downtown street beautification and new retail development.

Cherryland, just north of Hayward, has begun a $15 million neighborhood redevelopment investment effort and has easy access to commercial services along Mission Boulevard. San Lorenzo, home to a 5,600 member homeowners association, is ready to embark on a major 19 acre redevelopment of its downtown “Village Square” that will include new commercial, civic and residential uses.

Fairview is nestled in the Hayward hills between the Don Castro Regional Recreation Area, reservoir and San Lorenzo Creek and the Five Canyons Open Space/Bay Area Ridge Trail. It enjoys beautiful Bay views in a tranquil setting.   Picturesque Sunol, located south of Pleasanton along Alameda Creek at the beginning of the Niles Canyon Scenic Corridor, has a thriving Main Street and the historic Water Temple.
