LOCATION:

Newark, incorporated in 1955, is located 395 miles north of Los Angeles, 35 miles south of San Francisco and 30 miles south of Oakland.  The city covers approximately 13 square miles.  

DESCRIPTION:

Located near the southern end of the San Francisco Bay and included in the northern part of the Silicon Valley, Newark is a pleasant community with a “small town atmosphere”that offers quiet residential areas, a plethora of recreation and open space options, convenient retail, and a varied industrial base.
