LORI L. SONNIER, TOYOTA MOTOR SALES, USA INC.

Lori L. Sonnier is an Environmental Planning Manager in the Environmental Coordination Office (ECO) of Toyota Motor Sales (TMS).

Ms. Sonnier joined TMS in 1997 as an Environmental Specialist; in 2001, she moved to the ECO.  While at ECO, Ms. Sonnier has worked on developing a five-year Environmental Action Plan and strategy for TMS and on the Toyota North American Environmental Report.  She is also working on TMS' plans for environmental communication, waste reduction, supplier and dealer environmental management, and greenhouse gas emissions.

Prior to working at Toyota, Ms. Sonnier gained experience at the United States Environmental Protection Agency Region IX office in San Francisco, California and at the EPA National offices in Washington D.C., where she worked on Design For the Environment initiatives and community outreach for Superfund sites.

Ms. Sonnier has been the recipient of two Fulbright Scholarships to study environmental policy, renewable energy, and global warming policy overseas. She holds a Master's in Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor's in Biology and Public Policy Analysis from Pomona College.
