The Retreat program began with a welcome from Alameda County Supervisor, Keith Carson, East Bay EDA Chair. |

Before beginning the formal program, Supervisor Carson took time to recognize former East Bay EDA Executive Committee member, and longstanding member of the East Bay business community, Dick Garabedian of Saroni Total Food Ingredients, who is entering retirement.
Alicia Bert, representing the event's corporate sponsor Pacific Gas & Electric Company, also welcomed everyone to the event.

The event's keynote speaker, Dr. Ed Leamer, was introduced by Dave Ciesco, NUMMI, and East Bay EDA 2nd Vice Chair. |
