East Bay EDA Annual Board of Directors' Retreat

The Concord Campus of the California State University, East Bay, is surrounded by green hills.  

 

 The Retreat program began with a welcome by Keith Carson, East Bay EDA Chair & Supervisor, Alameda County, and by Peter Wilson, Dean of the California State University, East Bay, Concord Campus.

 

A summary of the East Bay Accomplishments for Fiscal Year 2006-2007, as of March 30, 2007, that was reviewed by the Board members, can be viewed by clicking here.

 

The results of the election of East Bay EDA Officers were provided by Zack Wasserman, East Bay EDA General Counsel, and Partner, Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP, as follows:

Chair: Keith Carson; Vice Chair: Mike Brown; Second Vice Chair: Tomi Van de Brooke; and the other Second Vice Chair: David Ciesco.

That was followed by a Member lead work group discussion of the East Bay EDA’s Strategic Plan Priorities:                                                   

Business Development, Mark Green, Mayor, City of Union City;

Membership Development, Josh Cohen, Attorney, Morgan Miller Blair;

Regional Infrastructure Initiatives, Mike Brown, Attorney, Morgan Miller Blair; and

 

Workforce Development, Norma Rees, President Emerita, CSU East Bay.

 

  Keith Carson, East Bay EDA Chair & Supervisor, Alameda County, provided the Retreat summary, and a tour (including lunch) was provided of the new CSUEB Nursing Facility.
