Traffic of full import containers traveling through the Port of Oakland decreased 8.4 percent between October 2008 and October 2009, while full exports increased 17.2 percent. Empty container imports increased 22 percent and empty exports decreased 64.9 percent.
At San Francisco International Airport, ridership increased slightly (up 1.9 percent) between October 2008 and October 2009, while OAK posted an annual decrease of 4.2 percent and at SJC ridership declined 8.1 percent.
